Reading and reusing material

Original texts on this site are available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license, unless a text says otherwise. You may copy, share and adapt them including commercially, provided you credit Alexander Dzyza, link to the original and the license, retain supplied notices and indicate changes. Attribution must not suggest that I endorse your use. The license allows adaptations; these permissions cannot be withdrawn for material already licensed while its terms are followed. Rights in third-party material remain with its respective owners.

Personal photographs and other images are not included in that license. Rights in personal images are reserved. Please obtain separate permission from the relevant rights holder before copying, modifying or publishing them, except where applicable law permits a use without permission. Display on this site is not a claim that I own all rights in an image. The open text license does not cover third-party quotations, illustrations, trademarks, likenesses or other third-party material.

Writing is offered for general information and discussion. It is not advice tailored to your circumstances. Views and conclusions may change, and errors may be corrected.

Email updates

Subscription is voluntary and free. Updates announce new writing on this site and contain no advertising. Choose the categories you want and confirm your address; updates start only after confirmation. Publication and sending schedules are irregular; no particular frequency is promised. Every update says who sends it and why you get it, and you can change your choices or unsubscribe using the links in every update, the Unsubscribe button of your mail program or a message to mail@dzyza.com. The Privacy notice explains how subscription data is handled.

Using the forms

Use an address you control. Do not submit other people’s addresses or ask to unsubscribe them, impersonate anyone, send spam or interfere with the operation of the site. Abusive requests may be rejected or limited. If you are under 16, please do not subscribe.

No warranty

The site and everything on it are provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, I am not liable for any loss or damage arising from using the site or relying on its content.

Availability and changes

Pages and features may be updated, moved or withdrawn. The site cannot promise uninterrupted availability or that every message will reach an inbox. These terms do not exclude rights that cannot legally be excluded. Updates to these terms will appear on this page.
